Comment:	Hey everyone, How can any one say that there is a lord or any other higher being? In the great book it said that jesus had been born to die for our sins, if this was why doesn't come again! LOL, Any way's If jesus had not come back to life on easter sunday then the great religon that 1000's worship would be a sham (Basically, I mean that it states that if you are Christian there will be life after death, yes to me this sounds great, but its almost to good to be true)? So how do we really know that he had actually was brought back to life, how we know that this incedint had actually had happened in time.

Comment:	Whenever i tell someone that i am an atheist the first thing they say is 'your an atheist because your parents didn't raise you in a very christian surounding.' well let me just say, i grew up with an anglican father and an anglican mother and a catholic stepfather who were all very religious. so my 'suroundings' has nothing to do with it. christians could not be more wrong about god. it is becasue of this so called god of yours that so many people die. years ago they would ambush cities that didn't believe and slaughter every last woman man and child in sight. even the innoncent children who have not yet grown to an intellegence where they don't even know what or god is or isn't. people will sacrifice themselves for there faith in 'god'... a being with no physical evidence (or any kind of evidence for that matter) that this being even truley exiztz. christians cannot except the fact that some people do not belive in there religion. they try and convert us and if we don't convert then they say we are ignorant and will burn in hell. i have a question for all you christians.......... if god truley does exist and god has a plan for evryone, then why does he let innoncent children die form being born with uncurable diseases? why does god let great people just suddenly die for no reason when they haven't really begun to live yet.

Comment:	A comment to all atheists, We Theists and you atheists are united over at least one basic fact. The universe and life as we know it had to start somehow, some way, and at some point in time. It's just Theists have an explanation for who started it and Atheists are still trying to figure that out. Let me try to enlighten you on the seriouseness of your delimma. The bible has 300 prophecies dealing with the FIRST arrival of Jesus Christ, all of which have been fulfilled and can be backed by archeological evidence. There are at least 500 more pertaining to his Second comming and some of those have already been fulfilled. You may say 'well they just filled in those prophecies after the events of Jesus took place' my answer to that is that the first Greek translation of the old testiment we written 250 years before the birth of Christ. I don't see how any human being can be all knowing enough to say that there absolutely is no God when they themselve don't know all the scientific research about the Earth and Universe. In closing i would like to say that IF YOUR RIGHT AND THERE IS NO GOD YOU WILL JUST HAVE ETERNAL UNCONSCIENCENESS BUT IF YOUR WRONG, THEN THATS YOUR DELIMMA WITH GOD.

If you call yourself an atheist, what's the harm in at least acknowledging that everything was created by 'something' or 'someone'. Comment:	I stumbled across this page by accident, but when i read 'Jeus Freaks''s comments, i had to write. To say that no matter what, just because you are christian you are going to heaven, and have 'all of your bases covered,' makes you the complete opposite of a true Christian. As an atheist, even I can realize that. Christians' definition of the term is believeing in God because its the right thing to do. To believe in God just 'cover all of your bases' is in no way being Christian. Then to criticise someone who believe otherwise, and claim they are going to hell, makes you in no way any better than what your little mind perceives them as. Seems to me, that if a God does exist, he would deny someone such as yourself just as much as he would deny me. At least i believe in something for what it is, and what is right. Comment:	Yeah, this site is pretty lame, good things could be here with just a little work in organization of topics in the forums. Anyways, to get to the point. For those of you who correctly follow YHWH(The Father) or Yeshua(Jesus the son). Then your heart would slowly be changed to not want to do wrong in the eyes of God and your fellow man. There is much to be learned from the Bible, just because you don't believe the Bible doesn't mean there isn't anything to be learned. I consider people unwise, if they back mouth the Bible, but haven't even read it, to at least learn from history, archeology has proved the Bible time and again. You must also realize, you can't be saved by works or by outward faith alone; you must have a changed heart first. To truly follow the will of God, or for those of you who choose not to, you must at least realize what good moral standards you will start to live your life if you change your heart to love. Wouldn't the world be a much better place? I know I tire of getting my car broke into by people who first don't look to see that there is nothing in there but a few pennies. Don't be mistaken, to truly change your heart is a lot harder then having a cold heart. Correct Christianity is one of the hardest things you can do...its not easy folks. See more on next post..

For those who don't understand, you would be foolish to dismiss the Word of God and his creation. My freind is not religious and is big on physics but for all his complicated theories he cant explain to me why we are here. It troubles me that in our society we are not tollerent of everyones beliefs and can't accept them as who they're. Out of interest why did you say that in particuarly christianity as a religion is 'an excuse for people who in particular are scared of life and who are scared of dieing.' there are many religions which would say that they would believe in an afterlife/heaven/reincarnation for example islam and hinduism. Secondly is it the thought of dieing or death itself that makes people go crazy and make up their own fantasies of an eternal life. For instance loads of people fear flying yet due to the number of fatalities cars, falls, fires and burns, drowning, shootings and poisionings are more life threatening. Many people fear the way they will die rather than death itself. Finally do you believe that we formed from a concentrated bit of mass that just appeared all on its own.
