It's true, it's absolutely true. How could a god allow finite/created beings to insult, and ridicule the maker?
Why not use a small portion of the universe's power, and send a small meteorite at the insolent and misbehaving humanoid, and rid the world of it's insignificance. That would make God quite feebleminded, don't you think. After all, a almighty and all powerful God, couldn't possibly take an insult from one of his creations. Or perhaps there's another purpose.
What do you think that might be? The purpose is in plain view, doesn't require the intellect of some scientist or philosopher, but rather anyone with a mind to listen and think. All of which, human beings are most capable of doing.
Choice. God wanted to create beings, worthy of life and existence and purpose. If every time one of His creations fell out line, he was obligated to vaporize it; what importance is man that He should be mindful of it.
Much in every way. Allowing those who would hold him in disdain and animosity (where ever it came from) he would allow their rhetoric to be espouse openly, and in public. The creation (mankind) was too important to just destroy for the sake of showing his omipotence, but instead He allowed the created to choose a path of its own, and not be 'puppeted' into action.
The purpose behind His great plan, is always at work, and in perpetual motion. No matter what mandkind chooses to act upon, it will work to fulfill His 'masterpiece'.
