I'll refer to the guy in this story as "David". Many years ago, I met a guy who instantly I thought was my soul mate. We hung out did things together, nothing really too big to speak of really. I have always liked this person and always thought we'd end up together. At times, it feels like I can feel him there when I"m alone driving in my car. I've been in relationships since then and no-one has been able to compare to what I felt for "David". I remember many years ago about 7 years ago, I was in my kitchen and my dishwasher stopped working, so I thought nothing of it, then my garbage disposal stopped working the same minute, same day. So, I go upstairs to look on the internet to find a local appliance repair guy and my computer stopped working (it was brand new). So, I got out the warranty information and on the back of my warranty was "Davids" phone number (i had forgotten I put it there) so I called him. We talked and it was very cool. I said to myself if it's meant to be he'll call me and tell me he's moving closer to me. Well, he did call and he did say that but we lost contact again. About 4 years later we chatted on the phone through a mutual friend of ours. It was very fun, upbeat and we hung out on the phone, not for too long but it was great to hear his voice. Our song we danced to was Hotel California and I'll always remember that night it was very special to me. Anyway, long story short, I ask for signs (and have been asking for years) if it's meant to be then I'll hear that song and 9 out of 10 times I do hear it, somewhere instantly like when i scan the radio dial in my car that song will be playing on another station. Well, just this past weekend another weird thing happened. I was in a long distance relationship with someone and he decided that he couldn't deal with the distance anymore and so we decided to cal it quits. As I laid in my hotel bed I looked over to the ocean and again asked if this is meant to be with "David" then I will get a sign. I just left it at that. I went downstairs in the lobby of the hotel and an artist was singing a country song and I sat and listened and in the middle of a country song she started to play Hotel California and to myself I was like "You're Kidding me" I actually started to laugh to myself. One more thing, I walked outside the hotel and ( i never noticed it before) but when I looked outside across the street..the name of the Hotel? Hotel California. Is it Fate or Am I A Freak?

Coincidence: During the years 1978 to 1995 I contemplated marrying Sandra my nextdoor neighbour on Australias' Gold Coast. In the year 1995 I moved away from her because my house was being eaten by termites , Ballarat is where I moved to ...........In the year 2007 while doing volentry work a woman from South West Germany named Elli ( not Elle ) had me well and truly smitten , simply because she is a Sandra look alike ........should have married Sandra and because of Australias' Imigration laws Elli had to fly ......Boeing , Boeing , gone......back to The Fatherland ....Danke.

Coincidence: I have always thought I was different from anyone else and no one really understands me, at 37 with 2 marriages behind me I know what love is but I have the perfect man in my head and resigned myself to the fact I would probably never find him.....but no matter i am happy on my own and not prepared to settle for anything less. One day in my home town a man walks into a local restaurant he took my breath away it was like a bolt of lightening hitting me i literally fell off my chair....later I caught the man staring at me and realised the connection was mutual...I approached him i had to find out who he was turns out he is Danish on holiday in South Africa...the universe brought us together the best thing of all he has the same birthday as me and he is different.....Just like me.

Coincidence: Same Guy Different Paces. I must have been 13 years old living in a small country town, and was part of a youth group and used to travel 3 hrs to a city of a million people or so in Brisbane Qld Australia, to a huge Youth alive concert. I saw this guy there and was really fascinated with him and I kept running into him, young puppy love that is. 1 yr later I travelled to a different youth concert 2 hrs from where i live and who do I happen to run into? I finally talked to him and found out his name was Josh. Well 2 yrs later I moved to another town/city and started going to this church and who happened to go to the same church?? but the bizzare coincident was that I moved to Brisbane and happened to visit another city to see my brother and the same pub that I was in I ran into him again but it turns out that he actually was visiting and now lives in Melbourne (another State).Mabey we were destined for each other...

Coincidence: I was instructed by my attorney to explain a situation that occured over twenty years ago. As I was writing I could not decide whether or not to mention my deceased lovers name. I typed his name, then I decided to then omit it. I was interupted by my telephone ringing. I pulled my self away from the computer to answer the phone. When I said "hello" I heard a mans voice say "Hello, this is Sean, please hold for an important message". Well, there was no message. The call came in at 5:28 pm. The pre-recorded message ended. I was speechless. The name of my deceased lover was Sean, and the very last time I was with him before he died was 5/28/83, the call came in at 5:28 pm. What do you make of this?

Coincidence: I joined a dating service a few months ago. There were two guys named Mike who were in Iraq that had e-mailed me. I corresponded with them both for a few months. After they came back home from Iraq: I was supposed to meet them both. Then a third Mike in Iraq e-mailed me. We started talking and shortly after I lost contact with the other two Mikes. I knew there was something signifigant about the name Mike and the fact that all three were fighting in Iraq.
After the 3rd Mike and I started talking. I soon found out that we shared the same birthday though years apart. He was also emailing a girl with the same name as I; Amy before me. Another coincincidence. That was the day he would also come back to the States. The coincidences don't stop there; He is a Staff Sargeant in the Army and he injured his left ankle while he was in Iraq. The 1st Mike was also a Staff Sargeant and the 2nd Mike also injured his ankle the same exact way. Are those signs?
Well, shortly after Mike came home from Iraq; we met. There was an instant connection as if we have known each other in another lifetime. Soul Mates. Were all these coincidences signs? Could this be fate. My Destiny.

I've always been a believer but NOW I'm speechless. ( good thing I
have to type this.. lol) Anyway, I'll try and make a long story short,
and start with my vacation back in 1977, 27 yrs ago, when I was 14.
I'm now 41. ( another freaky # thing when you flip flop the nos.) So..
when I was 14 ( soon to be 15 in a month) I met my 'first love'... we
kept in touch for a while thereafter but circumstances broke us apart
beyond our control. 27 years later, ( 2 wks ago ) I picked up a book I
had but hadn't had a chance to read till then ( The Celestine Vision )
and was on the 2nd chapter. As much as I was a believer in the
literature I was reading, I was still a tad skeptical but yet openminded.
Anywayyyyyyyyyy I started thinking about this sweetheart I had as my
mind trailed off as I layed my head to rest on the pillow the the night.
One week later I came home after work and ... you guessed it.. he
looked me up after 27 yrs and left a message on my answering machine saying
he wasn't sure if he had the right person but if it was me to pls call
him back as he was thinking about me also. (the future is yet to be
seen )
Okay I've rambled on way too much, but I felt I had to share this in
this site as I stumbled across it during a search on this topic
Thanks for reading and sharing...

| Coincidence |
My friend and
I only usually go out together on Thursday
nights and Saturday nights. And that's
usually just about all we do is go out
and party together. This past Friday night
we decided to go out and we went to a
new place in town. As she was talking
to someone I was just standing back and
observing everyone else when this cute
guy came up to me and asked me if my name
was Nicole. I said yes and he said we
use to chat somewhat online. My mouth
about dropped to the floor! I asked him
what his screen name was and he told me.
I did remember him but just barely because
it had been MONTHS since we last talked
online and we'd only even talked 2-3
times. We ended up talking all night long.
Great conversation... Then Sunday, I was
leaving my apartment to get lunch when
my cell phone rang. Caller ID said it
was a private number and I almost didn't
answer it but did because I thought it
may be the new guy. It was my friend instead
wanting to know if I wanted to have!
lunch with her. This NEVER happens. So
we went to the mall for lunch...who do
we run into while standing in line? The
guy from Friday night!

Could it mean
something IF I keep bumping into the same
person all the time? I live in an apartment
building and I can go for months without
seeing my next door neighbors but all
the time I keep running into a guy living
About 4 blocks away. I took a job in the
city about 7 years ago and I used to take
an early train, this one guy I would see
every morning and he would stand right
near me on the platform one day I noticed
him staring at me. Something was familiar
between us. NEVER A WORD. we had this
SILENT body language thing going on between
us. I was afraid to speak OUT OF FEAR,
I WAS ATTRACTED TO HIM. I saw him AT LOCAL
bar and pizza on many occasions with friends
or with girls. I even saw him once at
a Nightspot far from away from where we
live and again we just stared at each
other. no words.... I had not seen this
guy since last year on my birthday when
I was in the local place when he walked
in and the same thing over again. I think
he must have moved from the neighborhood
since have not seen him in 1 year. I got
a call about a new job on Friday to start
Monday. I did not sleep much Sunday night.
I finally conked out at about 3 am and
dreamed that this same guy was waiting
in a car outside of my church and the
car door was open I was swinging a child
around in circles. (weird) Well Monday
morning I went to work and when it was
time to Go out for lunch, Guess who I
saw walking out the door of my office???
Yes him!!!! He works not only in the same
Company but we are sitting in the Same
Room???? IN NEW YORK CITY ??? We both
are in the same business. I want to say
something but I froze and he looked shocked
to see me even though no words were exchanged
this has gone on far too long! WHAT TO
DO ?? Can this mean something???? thanks

Hi. I read
your coincidence page and thought I would
send you mine: I am a singer. Back in
high school, I used to attend conferences
where the best singers from each school
would get together in one school for a
weekend and have a concert. My junior
year, I met a boy there named Gregory
Smith that ended up asking me to his prom.
I liked him, but he was a little weird
(you know the type, doesn't have a 'date'
attitude, if he's weird, he's ALWAYS weird;
doesn't try to impress ya :) ), so for
the first time in my life, I hung up on
somebody. I went on with my life, occasionally
recalling Gregory with regret--I hate
being rude.
After graduating high school, I decided
to take a year off, and after that, I
went to college. Although this college
wasn't very far from my high school, I
didn't meet very many people I knew there.
I made a few friends there, and one day
I went to one of my friend Adrian's parties,
in his dorm room. There, I was introduced
to a girl and her brother. I didn't recognize
either of them. We all sat down to a game
of 'Clue,' where I proceeded to have no
clue who that handsome guy was who kept
staring at me. The next day, I sat down
at an email kiosk (you know, the ones
all in a row, where if you lean back a
little you can read someone else's email?)
next to my friend Jodie. I NEVER do this,
but today I sort of glanced over and read
her email subject line. "Gregory Smith's
chat server" was what it said. Now, I
grant you, the name Gregory Smith is common,
but I recognized it, and said, "oh, I
know a guy named Gregory Smith!" Jodie
turns to me and says, "Yeah! you played
Clue with him yesterday!"
Now, imagine my chagrin--I had always
felt bad after treating him badly in high
school, and here, I had completely failed
to recognize him and apologize! I quickly
emailed him and profusely apologized for
my actions then and now, and he good-naturedly
asked me out again! Here's some of the
other coincidences in this relationship:
Adrian used to date Gregory's sister;
they are still close. Jodie is his sister's
best friend. Back in High School, Jodie
had a HUGE crush on Gregory, and she remembers
HATING the girl he asked to the prom instead
of her. Now, like I said, we all lived
in the same county, but what are the chances
that his sister's best friend could become
so close to me, and be able to reintroduce
us? That my other close friend could have
a party and somehow invite his ex and
her brother? That I would be there, too?
Incidentally, my husband forgives me for
dissing his prom invitation...

Hi! I thought
I'd share with you some coincidences that
involve my husband and my former fiance.
I'll change the names. I started dating
Joe on December 5th of 1991. We fell in
love and during our whirlwind relationship,
got engaged on January 23rd. I had recently
bought my first house but hadn't yet moved
in. After Joe and I were engaged, he moved
into my house while I stayed living with
my parents. Joe knew my oldest brother
because they had worked together in the
same place. I had gone to high school
with Joe's only sister and was the same
age as her, although we didn't know one
another in high school.
Anyway, Joe and I broke up on March 26th,1992.
I met a man, Bob at work that came to
work on my shift and I'd never met him
before that time. We became friendly and
I was very attracted to him. He asked
me out on a date and our first date was
on November 5,1993. We fell in love very
fast and told each other that we loved
each other for the first time on November
19th. When Bob and I met, he was still
getting over a broken engagement like
I was. He only dated the woman briefly
before she talked him into letting her
move into his very first home. They broke
up on March 26th,1992, the very same day
that Joe and I broke up.
Bob and I got engaged on July 5th,1994
and married on September 23 of the same
year. It's spooky that Joe and I got engaged
on January 23 and were to be married on
June 5th!
My husband Bob also worked with my oldest
brother at the same place where he'd worked
with Joe. And I went to high school with
Bob's sister who is my age but I didn't
know her at the time. I even rode Bob's
sister's school bus in junior high and
I saw where she got off the bus everyday.
And that same bus also let a girl off
on the street where Bob and I now live
together as husband and wife!
Jim adds: Galaxia has another
coincidence here

I saw your
Web site. None of the coincidences even
compare to the rash of coincidences I
have experienced in my life, usually clumped
together in one year-long period every
7 or 8 years. (Except the Carolyn Green
story--that was pretty phenomenal).
I'm sending you the strongest evidence
I have that fate exists, for no reason
other than it's spooky enough and a good
enough story that I need to share. This
is rather long, but worth reading. All
of it is
true. The names have been changed--except
mine. *
* *
When my husband and I were in the process
of breaking up after 16 years of marriage,
I had a (very brief and wrong-headed)
relationship with a man I'll call "John
Doe." "John" was born December
4, 1956, and is the oldest child in his
family with one brother named "Daniel."
He had been married for 19 years and had
a daughter named "Rachael."
He had never gone to college, and when
I asked him how he was raised (in a discussion
about religion), he answered, "My
mother raised me rowdy." He told
me he was "smitten" with me.
On our second date, he brought me a photo
of himself at age 16 and said, "I
wanted you to see how I look to myself
in my head."
Less than a year after we broke up, I
started seeing "Steve Smith,"
the man with whom I fell in love (the
only man I've been with since my marriage
except for "John." Steve and
John have never met). Steve was born December
12, 1956, [8 days after "John"
- JE] and is the oldest child in his
family with one brother named "Daniel."
He was married 19 years. He never finished
college, and when I asked him how he was
raised (during a discussion about religion),
he answered, "I was raised a hellion."
He told me he was "smitten"
with me. On our second date, he brought
me a photo of himself at age 17 and said,
"I wanted you to see how I see myself."
When Steve told me for the first time
that he loved me, he said he'd never been
in love with anyone as much as he was
with me.
The Christmas after Steve moved in with
me, he was showing me family scrapbooks
and we came across pictures of his father's
ancestors. I pointed to a reproduction
of an old daguerreotype of a man and woman,
and he said, "Those are my great-great-grandparents.
Their last name was 'Doe.' Their daughter
was my father's grandmother - her name
was Rachael." [Recall that Rachael
was also the name of "John Doe's"
daughter - JE] It was then that I
told Steve for the first time John's last
time--and the spooky coincidences between
them.
I ran into John one day after that. He
told me he had become involved with a
woman almost exactly a year after he met
me. He told me that compared to how he
felt about her, he'd never been in love
with anyone before. I asked him her name.
He said, "Terri."
My name is Terri, too. |
