Comment:My name is Barbara and I am a mother of 3 grown children. When I was just a girl in the late 50's, my mom bought me a Barbie doll. Since then, most of my friends have called me Barbie. When I was in my teens in the 70's I got involved with some boys and became the old ladie to SwitchBlade Steve. He is in Joliet Prison now, but back then we had alot of fun and over the years had 3 kids. My youngest daughter we named Barbie. Recently her daughter turned 6, and we bought her her own Barbie doll. What's coincidental is that upon opening the box, the Barbie doll has a skin blotch on it's left forearm exactly where I have my Harley Davidson tattoo!! Too Cool eh !!

Comment:I have been doing research on a book I'm writing about Norman Luxton and his voyage from Victoria, Canada to Margate, England in a canoe (1901-1904). There was a picture showing several people on the boat just before it left Victoria. Onboard was an Oliver Ormond. I tracked down his great nephew who knew very little about the canoe or Norman Luxton. Just days after I found him he was going through some business papers (completely unrelated and nothing to do with his great uncle) and there he found letters written in the 1950's from Norman Luxton to Oliver Ormond. He had not ever seen or known of these letters till he got my letter just days before. They say spirits can be disturbed if their graves are vandalised. In 1923 my 3rd cousin died. His family had a falling out with all the relatives after he died and they moved 1000 miles away and have not had any contact since 1923. This year his gravestone was smashed and suddenly things started happening. The long lost family was reunited. We believe he has great power in that a hat he wore in 1923 and was kept by his mother, sister and later neice and worn often by all of them is in absolute brand new condition over 80 years later. It never fades, gets worn or gets dirty. Strange but true.

Comment:Sunday, 15th of July. I decided to obstain from ICC on that very day. But I wanted to change my finger notes on the queen server, for I knew that I would not encounter any living soul there. I got up when I got up, went for a walk when I did, popped around to work on my way home, walked back. I cleared in my mind what I wanted to change. This would take about 10 seconds. I logged on the queen and 3 seconds later... isolani arrived! If we was 7 seconds late, he would not 'meet' me there. There are 216,000 seconds in 24 hours. Considering that I needed 10 seconds.. he had to choose one of the 21,600 'slots' to enounter me. And he did. That is not all. He started to talk about the subjects I thought about this very day during my walk. The subjects I haven't thought about previously at all. Some call it COINCIDENCE, I call it simple COGNITION. There was no effort on both parts, none of us was expecting this and, in fact, we both knew that our plans were to stay from ICC this day all together. As far as 'subjects' are concerned - isolani was just talking for the sake of talking, not in order to guess my current state of mind. It just happened. We were 'connected'. Nothing unusual or coincidental about that.

Comment:Coincidences are part of life. Coincidences are here to stay. So many coincidences happened in my life that I simply don't treat them as coincidences anymore. I treat them as a natural phenomenon, such as going to the 'rest room' as our yankie friends call it. I am generally disappointed if I don't encounter at least one coincidence a day. I prefer the word 'Cognition', for, for me, it implies that there is no such thing as 'Coincidences' .. for me it implies that if we stay open and connected...then we are! I noticed that, coincidently, when I have a bad hangover or feel low and depressed, coincidences don't happen. COINCIDENCE THAT? I don't think so.

Comment:Coincidence: Wife asks me why people on ICC are sometimes 'muzzled' and I tell her that the owner(s) of the Internet Chess Club may fear lawsuits should some chatters become too belligerent toward other chatting members. Just minutes later a chatting member of ICC in channel 103 - MadPole by name - mentions litigation, suing, in conjunction with ICC. Since channel 103 is the 'religion channel' and MadPole is not a lawyer, nor have I ever heard him mention litigious behavior before I then determined it to be yet another coincidence in a long concatenation of coincidences between us.

Subject:Jackie Chan
Comment:On 12th September, while still stunned by the attacks committed in the USA, a strange thought popped into my head: What if someone really famous had been in the WTC at the time it was destroyed? Would their death have been followed by the usual frenzied media review of their life and work, or would the event of their death be largely obscured by the terrible loss of those ordinary people whose lives were ended or touched by the atrocity? An example name popped into my head unbidden: Jackie Chan. On 26th September I was browsing the Internet Movie Database (www.imdb.com) when I came across the following article about Jackie Chan... 'Jackie Chan was so disturbed by the terrorist attacks on America's East Coast, he couldn't sleep for a week. The Hong Kong native narrowly escaped death in the World Trade Center disaster when a movie scene he was due to shoot at the center on the day of the attacks, was delayed. And Chan says the disaster left him so shocked he couldn't sleep for days after. The 47-year-old Rush Hour 2 star explains, 'I went home every night and watched the same terrifying images unfold, filled with disbelief, rage, confusion and sadness.''... Comment:The strangest thing happened to me on November 12, 1997. It was a cold morning. I remember it well; the day started in a calm, unobtrusive manner, just like any other day...No one would have guessed something really baffling would happen, something which I have thought about for years and years after, trying to find an answer, trying to make sense of it all...I had never believed in the paranormal. But so strange were the events of this day, and so loaded with an eerie, bone-chilling significance, that I have had to change my stance since. Judge for yourself. It must have been around 11.16 that morning, that I wasn't in any way thinking about an old friend, whom I had not seen in over ten years. I was not thinking about him, and when the phone rang - it was not him. Coincidence....?

Subject:Concidence Wrapped in a Happenstance
Comment:On Sunday, 15th December 2002, I started thinking (for no apparent reason) about a guy called Paul Collier with whom I used to hang around twenty years ago. I wondered where he was and what he was up to but gave it no more thought than that. On Tuesday, 17th December 2002, I got an e-mail from James Eadon in which he forwarded me a message he got via www.eadon.com from Paul Collier the previous day to say that he (Paul) had stumbled across James' web site and had spotted my name. Paul hadn't been looking for my name; he hadn't even been looking for the site. The double coincidence of it is that Paul spotted my name within the 'Coincidences' section of James' site! What are the odds? This is too bizarre for me. I reckon I've used up all my odds now and I'll never win the lottery.

Subject:Mobile Phone COIN
Comment:This is ABSOLUTELY TRUE and I will try to keep facts to the bare minimum. Somebody I don't know texted me on my mobie once. I replied and exchanged messages with this person occasionaly. This was going on for AT LEAST a month. I don't know who this person is and it is not important. Important fact here is that nobody rings me on my mobile (apart from eadon once a month when he is drunk enough). What happened was this: On Wednesday few weeks ago I had a day long exchange of messages with this person. It lasted till 2am in the morning next day. Now, at one point this person RANG MY NUMBER - as it happened - I was in the loo briefly (no more than 2 mins) and missed the call. I know the person called because today's technology provides excellent evidence. To sum it up: a) Nobody rings me on my phone b) I spent whole day exchaning messages with this person c) When this person called - I was in the LOO! Just for few minutes - otherwise I spent ALL day with the phone in my pocket. Now - there is no way that this person KNEW that I am in the loo! But few brief exchanges of text AFTER the call convinced this person that he/she doesn't know me and doesn't want to talk to me - i.e. the person DID NOT WANT TO TALK TO ME WHEN SHE/HE CALLED - ONLY SHE/HE DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THAT! BUT SHE/HE STILL MANAGED TO PHONE WHEN I COULD NOT ANSWER.. I think you understand.. it is bloody spooky!

Subject:color coincidence
Comment:My husband and I bought a house. We repainted the house in a color chosen by my husband, as it reminded him of the color of many houses in his native Sweden. On a visit to my parents-in-law, in Sweden, I loved the paint technique on the kitchen cupboards so much I copied it in my own kitchen. I selected a different color of paint. Recently, my husband and I bought a cottage. We got busy redecorating and discovered that the last coat of paint on the exterior was EXACTLY the same as our house. I even compared paint chips. As I tore the wallpaper down in the kitchen, I was astonished to see that the layer underneath was WALLPAPER that was IDENTICAL in both color and texture to my kitchen cupboards. I produced the effect by dragging an ashphalt brush across the painted surface.

Subject:I'm scared now....
Comment:Well this happened a few days ago. I walked into the local fish and chip shop. And of all the times posible to walk in on a random conversation it was relavent to the point of coincidence. Well first of all I'll just say that my lady friend I had a few years back worked in a fish and chip shop and was a shoter than me. So anyway, I walk into the shop the other day and ste the to counter to make my order. So whilst i wait for service the chick behind the counter start talking to her co-worker. 'Oh i got a new boyfriend. His name's lachy... ' (my name). This is when i really tune in as it being wierd. And the co-worker says 'what's he like' , she replies '... Oh well, his tall (I'm tall) , nice etc ,etc' Then I get asked for my order. What a perfect time to walk in on this conversation, of all the times for me to be in there, and for this girl to be telling her friend about this topic.... Well it freaked me out anyway!!!

Subject:Coincidence?!
Comment:I had to post this other coincidence that happened with me and my husband which i can never forget in my life. My husband used to wear a gold chain with a pendant of an Indian God in whom we believe a lot. One day he comes back from work and i notice that his chain was unhooked and was just barely hanging on his neck. The hook is shaped like an 'S' and it's not very hard for the chain to get unhooked as it had happened earlier a few times. I asked him what happened and he was totally unaware that the chain was almost about to fall off. He took off the chain and i asked him what happened to the pendant. He had no clue and looked for it inside his shirt and everywhere. We could'nt find it and i was a little upset because it meant a lot to me. The next day he goes back to his office and looks everywhere for the pendant and there's nothing. I just felt sad that we had lost it. You will not believe what iam going to say next. After a year and half, one day my husband was at his office taking some printouts and noticed something shiny on the rug below the desk where the printer was and bent down to pick it up and had a shock of his life. The same pendant that he had lost a year and half ago. He immediately called me up and told me about it and i could'nt believe it!!! What do you call these kind of things? Spooky coincidences or what???!!!!

Subject:Coincidences Constantly Happen to Me
Comment:I am constantly attacked by strange coincidences. They have come in the form of dreams coming true, or many times just a series of strange events taking place that cannot be of pure chance. For example, when I was at school I would normally wake up at 8 o clock or later, but for some reason one morning I woke up around 6AM! Next thing you know, about 30 minutes later the fire alarm goes off in the building! But there was no fire. So I left the building, with my coat and my cd player inside my pocket, and turned on the radio. The very FIRST thing I hear on the radio is a man saying the words, 'There are No Coincidences'!!! I believe this was a lesson to me on coincidences and I believe that if we all look for them they are there. Guidance is abundant, and especially when you ask for it from the higher power! -Justin miraclecoincidence.blogspot.com
