Perhaps you should watch it several hundred more times and maybe you can notice the 'coming of age' movie that it is. The boy's journey from innocence to experience, aided by his sister who was living an oppressed life, his mother who learned from past mistakes to let him go so she wouldn't lose him, a rock writer who probably represented his future self, a rock future legend who was dealing with the fact that he was only human though he aspired to be a god, and his first love a groupie whose optimism and party personality hid her tortured soul. Crowe wrote a brilliant screenplay which deservedly won the Oscar. Not to mention the wonderful acting of the entire cast and of course, the ultimate character and unifying element in the movie...the music. Think back to the bus scene. Everyone was upset, there was stress and strain in all of them, the band was ready to break up, the lead singer hated the guitarist, the writer had to go home, the girls were worried that the party would end, and then Tiny Dancer came on over the radio. They all joined in together in a song and the problems were forgotten. They were home.
With this review I think that you probably are far too stupid to publish your ideas about movies. | | | | | From: |

The reason it was so 'quiet' was that he had fallen in love you moron. The point of the scene where she was getting her stomach pumped was that he was so in love with her that he could no longer see any fault in her. She was an ideal and though she was in the disgusting act of having a tube shoved down her throat he still could only hear the sweet music of Stevie Wonder as he admired her legs and looked longingly at her. It was funny, heartfelt, and well acted.
As for the ending, perhaps you are a fan of the unhappy ones more and perhaps your own failures have caused you to look with disdain at life, but believe it or not there are happy endings in the world. In fact, this movie is based on the life of Cameron Crowe. He did travel with bands at a very young age. He was the youngest writer at Rolling Stone, and he did have a story pulled because Led Zeppelin denied all of it. Only later did they actually print the story when they discovered that he was telling the truth. So you see the ending is exactly as it should be.
And you remain a moron. | | | |
