Comment:I understand how someone wouldn't like the movie but, Kill Bill isn't reality it's a myth, a legend. It was a tribute to the kung-fu movies (read: martial arts movies) of the 70's. That's why Tarrantino picked Caradine to play Bill. He was the lead character in the tv show Kung-Fu which turned Tarrantino on to martial arts films. Sonny Chiba is a legend in asian films. Even Pai Mei, the Bride's teacher, is a very old character of Chinese myth. Pai Mei has shown up in many kung-fu films over the years. In fact the actor who played Pai Mei, and leader of the 'crazy 88's', actually fought Pai Mei in at least one of his earlier movies (thank you DVD extras). It's just a revenge myth with a modern slant. I understand that this isn't everyone's cup of tea but if your looking for more than what it is then your guaranteed not to like it.
