J.Johnson | 2001-04-27 18:42:11 | | Subject: | Scream 3 | | Comment: |
The steaming pile of shite that is Scream 3 begins promisingly enough and deteriorates quicker than any other film i`ve had the displeasure of watching. Even Cherry Falls manages to rank higher in my book - and to do that you really do have to achieve dramatically high levels of bollocks and low levels of anything valuable.

I was 15 or 16 when it came out, and i was so pleased about getting into a film rated for 18`s+ - by the time i left i wasn`t too concerned - only the thought that Scream 3 missed the chance to build upon the commendable first film, and improve vastly upon the remarkably average Scream 2.

Gone is the clever enough plot of the first film, and in it`s place we find an amateurish script full of 'funny moments' and 'scary developments'. What particularly annoyed me was the house scene where Sidney is chased around (sigh - 'again') the studio - its been a while since i`ve seen it (and for good reason) - excuse my haziness. Completely unconvincing and perhaps it was ironic given the scene in the first film where they talk about shit sequels - perhaps when the original is remade they`ll include Scream 3 in there too. | | | | | From: |
Spoofnet | 2003-08-31 18:08:22 | | Subject: | Scream 3 sucked | | Comment: | There i was, watching TV, and along comes Scream 3. Expecting scares, i sit - and end up laughing at every 'scary' moment.
The screen goes black, the boom cues and there we go for the billionth time - a 'friend' is sneaking around the house, as you do when you know your friend is paranoid of a stalker...
Later on was no better either - forgive me if i am wrong, but was not Sidney shot in the neck? Apparently not - as in the next scene she appears pretty much unscaved with a pristine condition bullet-proof vest (there was me thinking she got shot...).
Oh the inaccuracies. How do you live from a bullet in the neck, with high pressure blood flowing up to it? How do youu live from being shot about 50 times (and don't give me bullet-proof vest - they have a limit y'know)? How do you live from being knifed in the shoulder twice? Without screaming in pain?
Most importantly of all, how do you live through Scream 3 without shouting in a maddened rage at your screen. The words 'crap movie' are putting my thoughts nicely - Scary Movie was more frightening than this, and Scary Movie was meant to be a hilarious parody... | | | | | From: |
