| Comment: | How can you say Penelope Cruz was the biggest downside to the movie?? Sophia's character was designed to be what Tom Cruise's character imagined was the perfect woman. She embodied all he thought femininity should be. Therefore, it makes sense that she would not return the same amount of passion that he gave her. That explains her 'stiffness.' And the movie is supposed to leave you wondering as to what happened all along... perhaps he did dream it all up... maybe the human mind is capable of more than you thought. But isn't that the whole point of the movie..? |

| Comment: | Oh, Jenny. Don't take him seriously. Eadon-Com hates everything American. He gave this one away with his 'Big Mac and fries' comment. His movie reviews are a scam. One review is a replica of the next. 'I hate America. I hate Hollywood. I am a man of culture, blah, blah, blah.' He was probably weeping by the end of the movie. He was touched, truly. Trust me on this one. This guy has issues. |

| Comment: | Author, you missed the point of the movie. Yes the entire movie was a dream up until the end when David woke up. Proof? On David's mustang the inspection sticker read 02/30. There is no 02/30 = dream. Now think if Sophia was the dreammaker....Open Your Eyes.

| Subject: | Vanilla Sky\ Open Your Eyes. |
| Comment: | I saw 'Open Your Eyes' about 2 years before 'Vanilla Sky'
was foisted upon the public. They might as well be two different films. In many ways they are. I HIGHLY recommend that anyone who saw VS to their utter disgust make it a point to see OYE. This same fellow did another great film called 'Thesis' and he also did 'The Others'.
OYE- Again, HIGHLY recommended. |

| Comment: | Author,
I think you got caught up in the trees, instead of seeing the forest on this review. The greater concept of the movie-what is our existence? Is this a dream? What will happen when we die? What is consciousness? This is what the movie is trying to get at, even if it has some hiccups concerning acting and cryogenic facts. Look deeper man |

| Subject: | Still the Best Movie I Have Ever Seen! |
| Comment: | Update - I am an avid movie watcher and reviewer, and this is still the best film I have ever seen. It is the only movie that I got the coveted 'cinema buzz' from. I didn't see it in the theatre, but rented it one evening in May 2003 and wathced it a 2nd time the next evening and to date have seen it about 25 times - though some of them were to find details in the film for my review and analysis. There is more information on this movie on my web site www.danielalandogarcia.com |

| Comment: | It is such a disappointment to read your review. It would be much better for you to keep silent when you don't know about something. If there are people who are really interested in getting an insight to this movie I suggest studying Freud articles about 'the subconscious mind' and 'repression'. |

| Comment: | You are what is wrong with society today.
You are, i guess, not a tom cruise and as a result you are jealous of him? I think Vanilla Sky is one of the most disturbing, therefore, BEAUTIFUL works of art every to come out of hollywood. You need to stop focusing on the nachos during the film theatre and put yourself in that mans shoes. I have lost someone I loved, and one can really identify. VERY AMAIZNG FILM |

| Comment: | Your opinions of movies seem to be very well fabricated, as does 'the ego' I'm terribly sorry, your inflated sense of self sounds better... I take it you have not reproduced? Nor do you take much favor for yourself as an amature physicist as it were.. anyways this explains much about your character and your choice in initiating a site to antagonize films when you yourself cannot poor out a bit of emotional truth about what you are, as a matter of fact, I've only read your self description for 3 minutes and you inspired a rather volatile response from me, thusly i can show credit to you for your allotted phrases and a few cute references to your lack of experience. i'm sorry your savantism amuses myself and others that have read your reviews and they have all read the prior remarks so lets return to the movie shall we? I just finished watching VS, I have not seen this picture in years, but anyways your site came up third with a quick search on google using 'analysis of vanilla sky' as my origin so i chose a home owned site to blerb about my feelings = ). Given that you slaughtered the actual intentions of the film with your tripe, and the fact that you claim to be an excellent film critic but resort to using words that renounce your practices, if your going to analyze a movie please judge it based on character, plot, and creativity.. not for your own selfish desires as to what you would have wanted to see. |

| Comment: | This movie Released was an excellent step forward for the genre of advancing the subconscious(side note^ conceptually the ideology behind Lucidity within dreamstate is an endlessly brilliant topic to be discussed A++ for a movie willing to take that risk) , the prop use was diverted away from the craze of CG(which was the boom of 2000 to the present) which is again to be given an A for effort on reverting to a more physical presence, the acting was superb especially for Tom Cruise and his chem. with Kurt Russell and Timothy Spall brilliant closure with the sky scraper scene- a truly flawless presentation of self realization if i do say so myself, and lastly this plays heavily on human flaws and inevitable losses that both reinforce ones connection to the movie itself as well as demonstrate the destructive tendencies of the human mind and action.
I leave you now with this little reminder, you attract bees with honey not insults ok? You must have a complex or some lack of personality that would lead you to this sort of misanthropy, and lastly man look more into the movie for its characteristics of value, heck i may begin to read your reviews if they show more heart(and ive had a bit to drink =P) Goodnight, and here's the score Thom Yorke rules. |
