| Comment: | The reason that I didn't have much to say about chapter 45 was obviously that there was too much suspense. What's the point of analysis when a chapter ends in the middle of a suicide attempt? What's the use of analyzing Howard's behavior if I'm not even sure if he'll live through the next chapter? Fortunately, everything goes back to normal in the next chapter. The hopes for a happy ending have faded, but at least nothing outrageous happens. I like the way the way Howard and his father avoid their family. Granny Grail has been eliminated but a new pain in the ass appears. Life never ceases to present new torments. By the way, it's striking that Marlon, without being aware of it, prevents Howard from committing suicide. It is probably the only time he ever saw him outside of his room, and in fact he didn't come to save Howard, but he came to save his computers. Nice irony! |
