MadPole | 2001-12-03 17:42:41 | | Subject: | I disagree | | Comment: | Of course I agree with Eadon who is going through 'chemical recognition' stage of his life. The 'blackboard experiment' would not work, for a very simple reason: Eadon could write another article like that replacing 'chemical' with 'physical'.. and then clone it again, replacing 'physical' with 'quantum'.. then then clone it again replacing....we are not just a 'one system'.. we are a whole mini-Universe of systems which interact with each other... which brings us to the reason why I agree with Eadon...for looking at one aspect of oneself, one 'system' alone, is sufficient.. one does not have to embrace 'all'... working on one's chemical makeup will change one's physical, mental and spiritual attitudes...atlethes concentrate on physical aspect of self, drug users on chemical, music artist on vibrational, painters on visual... it does not really matter... what matters, and this is one of the most Wunder Bra things about life, is that the systems are so interconnected, so locked in their dependencies...that affecting one of them will affect all others...this is the Freedom and Power we have.. we don't have to understand EVERYTHING... changing one thing will change the whole world..... | | | | | From: |
Clayton Carter | 2003-11-21 16:15:24 | | Subject: | Not so sure | | Comment: | This is mind boggling and my natural response to this is to resist I am only a big molocule. A couch is an arrangement of atoms. But there is wood there from a tree, cotton from ... well cotton, polyester, nails, a number of different things. But the couch is more than that because it has a specific function which cannot be soley interperated by the molocules with in it. If everything I am, my molecular make-up, was on a chalkboard to be seen then could someone with the right structuring, and deciphering, understand my every thought, predict my every decision? Could someone who has never seen 'greenness' like I have, still fully understand the meaning of it to me? I would like to maintain priviledged access by saying there is something of mine which is ununderstandable, there is choice, and intentionality in this choice. I make decisions, and I make them for reasons, I am part of the mechanical ballet of the universe also. In my mind there is a representation of my thoughts in chemical and electrical snyapse firing, and I have the only code book to decipher these in the way I do. Yes, we are more than just molocules, we are human. | | | | | From: |
26 | 2004-05-05 17:00:20 | | Subject: | 'Human Body' | | Comment: | I have been studying how the universe,by this I mean this system of Reality(physical world), works for a long time now. Lately I been studying consciousness and the chemical reactions that occur during our sleeping state. YES we are of course made up of atoms and molecules but you CANNOT relate yourSELF to your body. Think about it this way..your cells regenerate to produce new ones..the physical body that you had ten years ago is DEAD! The body you have now is completely different than the YOU of ten years ago. Chemical reactions DO create thoughts BUT also thoughts can create chemical reactions!!! This is the difference between humans and animals. I am not going to comment on the free will illusion but I will suggest that you read further into the matter because you have the potential to produce the chemical reactions in your brain to raise your 'consciouness' | | | | | From: |

Excellent work in coming up with your human molecule perspective! It’s entirely correct; see the below links:

someone | 2006-08-22 00:26:26 | | Subject: | what makes those react? | | Comment: | if we are a chemical reaction what made it so all those chemicals could just come together? what makes those chemicals do what they do? *hypotheticaly* if the chemicals in me are the same as someone else why are our personalitys so different | | | |
