Subject:Relativity....
Comment:I read only 1st para so far and would like to share something before I forget: it is not true that 'robots' did not exist during eadon's childhood... I am older than him...I remember my christiening very well.. the reason why I remember it so well is that I always dreamt of buying this robot toy... and Christ-chening meant that a lot of family members sneak some money in envelopes.. which allowed me to buy the damn thing...it could walk and probably had some lights and made some noises...the term 'robot' is so relative.. I better read the rest of article now! ;-)

Subject:Wunder Bra!
Comment:Wow! A lot of philosophical material here... well done ead! I will mention the points without trying to explore them for You done that already Sir hehehehe... 1. Standing upright (or sitting down)... that happens to me when I am under severe hangover...I can sit, walk and stand upright... but suddenly it requires so much energy... I went to work today ( very well timed article hehehehe) and left after an hour...I could do the job and nobody will know any different... but standing up or sitting down was such energy draining effort... 2. Robots vs Human relationship... what do we 'want' from Robots.. why do we invent them? To pretend that we are 'Gods'? Humans were stupid enought to try to replicate the image... not the functionality.. and as ead pointed out... that was just stupid... the machine which cuts the grass is better off not having legs and limbs...why invent something which 'bends down' when one can simply invent machine which is so close to the ground.. it doesn't have to do any bending..in those terms one could say that ppl invent robots to learn more about oneself and what being human is about and why... it is 'self-realization' trip.. the standing up business or walking is a Wunder Bra example ead! Oh yes... and realization how much we take for 'granted'...

Comment:3. Stationary robots - aren't they simply Computers? So that's another thing.. what makes robot a robot? it probably changes with time.. what was considered to be robot yesterday might not be today....there are 2 simple parts to it: phisical ability and 'thinking processor'... is cleverness is what makes machine a 'robot'?!! Or is it 'human romantism'.. that robot is a machine which is not quite JUST a machine yet...once it carries the jobs out on the daily basis.. 'magic' is gone and it is treated as a hoover... no big deal... 4. Robot pets. Entirely DIFFERENT subject... and sex dolls...Matrix...Humans have this tendency to replicate all surroundings so they are as real as 'reality' but not really 'real'.. why would humans do such thing? Very buddist... detachement.... I think that is the main reason - the yearning for detachement... and playing the 'Creator' game... and messing with the very fabric of reality: 'let's try to replicate reality to learn more about it.. to learn what makes it seem like it is 'real'... ' 5. Many many more points.....
